This whole photography thing started back in 2023 – so not all that long ago. I had always been interested in photography but never took the plunge on my own. Fortunately, I have some friends who really know their craft and were working in the industry at the time. One of them offered me a great deal on a used digital mirrorless camera.

I shot a few pictures digitally, but it didn’t take long (two months, to be exact) for my interest to shift toward something more tangible than pixels and ones and zeros.

I blame Paulie B and his Walkie Talkie interview series for sparking my interest in film photography — and Grainydays as well, for that matter. I walked the analog path for the first time in August 2023, and I haven’t looked back since.

So now, I shoot only film, and my digital camera has become my scanning device.
